Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what data WNGLTS processes, why we process it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. It is written to match how the public website, the WNGLTS mobile app, email alerts, and optional analytics and video integrations currently work.

What we process

Contact form

Purpose

To handle your inquiry, respond to you, and manage any necessary follow-up.

Data

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Country
  • Message content

Legal basis

Your consent when submitting the form and our legitimate interest in properly managing a communication started by you.

Retention

For as long as needed to answer the inquiry and afterwards for as long as legal obligations or potential claims may require us to keep limited records.

Recipients

  • Technical infrastructure operating the website and backend.
  • Email provider or delivery service used to process the message.

Live stream email alerts

Purpose

To send occasional alerts about upcoming live streams, important schedule changes, or closely related service messages you have requested.

Data

  • Email address
  • Preferred language
  • Confirmation status
  • Minimum records related to consent, confirmation, and unsubscribe handling

Legal basis

Your explicit consent. Subscription is completed through email confirmation.

Retention

While your subscription remains active. After you unsubscribe, we may retain minimum suppression and consent records for compliance and to avoid unwanted future mailings.

Recipients

  • WNGLTS technical infrastructure.
  • Email provider or delivery service used for alerts and management messages.

Press & brands media kit

Purpose

To verify access to the media kit downloads through a one-time code and to know which outlets, brands, and professionals are interested in collaborating with WNGLTS.

Data

  • Work email address
  • Outlet or company (optional)
  • Preferred language
  • One-time code (stored as a hash, expires after 15 minutes)
  • Pseudonymized identifier (IP hash) used to limit abuse
  • Download log and basic technical browser data (user-agent)

Legal basis

Your consent when requesting the code and the legitimate interest of WNGLTS in managing and protecting access to its press materials and in following up on the commercial interest shown.

Retention

Codes expire after 15 minutes and become invalid once used. The contact record is kept while a reasonably active press or professional relationship may exist, or until you request its deletion.

Recipients

  • WNGLTS technical infrastructure.
  • Email provider or delivery service used to send you the code.

Hangar comments and reactions

Purpose

To publish your comments on Hangar articles, confirm authorship by email, moderate content, and prevent abuse; and to record pseudonymized reactions (likes).

Data

  • Name or alias shown with the comment
  • Email address (comment confirmation and management)
  • Comment content
  • IP hash (pseudonymized anti-abuse identifier, also used for reactions)

Legal basis

Your consent when submitting the comment or reaction and our legitimate interest in moderating and protecting the community against spam and abuse.

Retention

While the comment remains published or until you request its deletion. Anti-abuse records are kept for the minimum time necessary.

Recipients

  • WNGLTS technical infrastructure.
  • Email provider or delivery service used for confirmation and moderation.

Optional analytics

Purpose

To measure website usage in aggregated form so we can understand what works best, identify improvements, and prioritize content.

Data

  • Aggregated or pseudonymized browsing and usage data
  • Analytics events linked to website interactions

Legal basis

Your consent, which you can accept, reject, or withdraw at any time.

Retention

According to the analytics tool configuration and until you withdraw consent or clear the relevant browser storage.

Recipients

External video and media content

Purpose

To display and play embedded YouTube content when you choose to enable external media.

Data

  • External media consent preference
  • Technical data that YouTube or Google may process when a player or embedded content is loaded

Legal basis

Your consent to enable external media.

Retention

The consent preference is kept in your browser until you change it. Any further processing by YouTube depends on its own policies.

Recipients

  • YouTube / Google, when you enable external media and load an embedded player or related content. See their privacy policy

Live stream alerts by notification (web and mobile app)

Purpose

Send you a notification only when we start a live stream, whether you enable alerts in your browser or in the mobile app. It is never used for articles, promotions or any other alert.

Data

  • In the mobile app: the notification identifier generated by your device (Apple or Google token)
  • In the browser: the notification subscription address generated by your browser and its associated cryptographic keys, needed to encrypt the alert
  • Operating system or browser, and the language you selected

Legal basis

Your consent: you first enable alerts on the website or inside the app, and then your browser or operating system asks for permission.

Retention

Until you turn alerts off in the app or website settings, revoke the browser or system permission, or uninstall the app. Identifiers that stop being valid are deleted automatically.

Recipients

  • Your browser's notification service (Google, Mozilla or Apple, depending on which you use) when you enable alerts on the website.
  • Apple (Apple Push Notification service) for iOS devices.
  • Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) for Android devices.

Video content inside the mobile app

Purpose

Play the live stream and show thumbnails inside the app. Unlike the website, in the app the player is part of its core functionality, so it loads without a separate consent step.

Data

  • Technical data that YouTube or Google may process when loading or playing the video

Legal basis

Performance of the service you request by installing and using the app.

Retention

Any further processing by YouTube is governed by their own policies.

Recipients

Data stored on your device by the app

Purpose

Remember your preferences (language, theme, and whether live alerts are enabled) and store the glossary so you can read it offline. If you turn on the pre-stream reminder, your own phone schedules and shows it, with no involvement from our servers.

Data

  • App preferences and downloaded content, stored only on your device
  • Local reminders scheduled on your device from the live stream calendar

Legal basis

Performance of the service: this data is needed for the app to work as expected.

Retention

It stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. It is never sent to our servers.

Recipients

  • Nobody: this information never leaves your device.

Your rights

You may request the exercise of the rights granted by applicable law at any time, including:

  • Access to the data we process about you.
  • Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure when data is no longer needed or when you withdraw consent.
  • Objection to processing and restriction of processing where legally applicable.
  • Portability where processing is based on your consent or a contractual relationship and technically applies.
  • Withdrawal of consent without affecting processing already carried out before the withdrawal.

To do so, contact us using the email shown on this page and describe your request. If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, you may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD).

When data is required

In forms such as the contact form or live alerts sign-up, some data is required to provide the requested service. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to respond or complete the subscription process.

Recipients, processors, and international transfers

We do not sell personal data. We may rely on technical providers required to run the website, email delivery, and analytics. When you enable optional analytics or external media, third-party providers may process technical information under their own terms.

In particular, YouTube/Google may involve international transfers outside the European Economic Area. We recommend reviewing their privacy information before enabling those features.

Security and confidentiality

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or improper disclosure. Even so, no Internet-connected system can offer an absolute guarantee.

Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect legal, operational, or technical changes. When that happens, we will update the date shown on this page.
